Historical Fiction WW 2 & It's Aftermath.
STEEL ARMAGEDDON is the first in a series of World War II stories. We follow a Norwegian-American tank commander fighting for the wrong side through the chaos at the end of World War II. The story picks up during one of the last tank battles of the war. We follow the main character, Carl-Fredik Johnsen, from this battle, through his later escape to Palestine and subsequent battles when the new State of Israel is formed. During the early war years, the final outcome of the conflict was not as obvious as it seems today. It is not surprising that many in the occupied countries cooperated with the Nazis.
In the following books, we are introduced to Carl's English cousin Tommy Fletcher, and we follow him through various adventures in World War II and later conflicts. The two cousins finally meet up in Korea in 1950.
In the small peninsula of Korea the cold war went hot, and for years the worlds two main political camps, the Western democracies and the Communist bloc, battled it out in a bloody stalemate. In Europe, the Soviet Union tightened its grip on its satellite States, like Hungary, and any deviation from the wishes of the Kremlin was brutally crushed. Other parts of the world saw the creation of new States, many created with little regard to the wishes of the population. Under the History tab, I have included many of my WW II and cold war articles.

Book 5, Steel Menace. The 1956 rebellion in Budapest offer the West an opportunity to learn more about the new Soviet menace, the T-54. Tommy Fletcher and Carl Johnsen are dispatched to steal one in the chaos of the rebellion.
