Train, Trolley & Model Railroad Nostalgia
With a Norwegian Twist
THIS IS AN UPDATED EDITION with many new pictures and 5 additional pages about the history of the Norwegian railroads.
Some people grow up to be adults, and only do adult things. Nothing wrong with that, but I do not envy them, they loose out on a lot of enjoyable pastimes. Trains and model trains is one of them. I have been a train enthusiast ever since I received my first HO train set as a 7 year old, and enjoyed every second of it. This book is an effort to show how enjoyable Trains and Model Railroading can be, and how many aspects there are to the hobby. That and the fact that I have lived many years in three great countries, Norway, England and the US, is reflected in the very different topics the chapters cover, unlike most such books that deal with a specific area. That being said, it is aimed at those who enjoy reading about Norwegian and Scandinavia trains and model trains. One chapter is dedicated to public transportation in Oslo, and one contains a short history about early Norwegian railways. A full chapter is dedicated to my Trix Express layout. 84 pages, all color. Some pictures from both books can be found on the Picture Tab above, but a much more comprehensive collection can be found on my facebook page.
